INTERIOR DESIGN III
In this course, we dive into the ins and outs of assisted and independent living. Through the design phases, a memory care and assisted living facility was developed using a variety of programs, including Illustrator, AutoCAD, and Sketchup. The entirety of this project was based upon the needs and wants of the aging community, by incorporating universal design concepts and ADA.

PRELIMINARY FLOOR PLAN
The preliminary floor plan assignment takes the blocking plan and reworks it into an initial floor plan. It includes specifics about corridor, room, window and door placement. The plan is hand drawn and is able to be change if necessary.

CONCEPT SKETCHES
To get a better idea of what some of these main spaces of the will look like, concept sketches include furniture and fixtures that could be used in the space. These sketches provide a foundation for the design, but can also be adjusted when consulting with the client about what they like and no not like.

RENDERED APARTMENT
The goal of both the rendered apartment and dining room assignment, was to provide a visual for the client. These rooms should included selections from the specification book and display what these spaces will look like fully furnished.

REFINED FLOOR PLAN
The refined floor plan phase involved making the final changes to preliminary floor plan and adding furniture to each space. By including furniture of the spaces, it gives the client a visual for the design and the overall layout of the rooms.
