DIGITAL DRAFTING II

Digital Drafting II focused on the development of skills using both SketchUp and Revit. Through varying projects and assignments, familiarity with the programs increased and foundational skills were evolved.

SHE SHED

For this project, the instructions asked to create a She Shed. It must include a gabled roof, gutters, and shutters on the windows. In addition, I made the model to scale and included finishes. This model includes physical texture, not only visual texture.

CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT

This project challenged me to create a Christmas ornament of great detail using the push and pull tool as well as the follow me tool. I incorporated physical texture, not necessarily visual texture as it would be 3D printed.

BETHLEHEM UNITED METHODIST CHURCH

This project tasked me with building a 3D model of a church using SketchUp from a 2D AutoCAD file. Over the course of a few weeks, I added custom windows, crown molding, and millwork to the floorplan. Finally, I incorporated furniture, fixtures, and finishes to every room.

BETHLEHEM UNITED METHODIST CHURCH

To provide an alternative 3D model for the church I used Revit. Unlike the details shown in the SketchUp model, the Revit design displays a more simple floorplan. This gives the client a clear picture of how they could customize the space for their individual desires.

BETHLEHEM UNITED METHODIST CHURCH SHEETS

For the church model created in Revit, I developed sheets using the same program. The set includes a cover sheet, a plan sheet, and a 3D view sheet of the rendered images and floorplan.
